Six CFL members were selected to present their research at the 2022 International Conference on Coastal Engineering (ICCE) held from December 4 – 9, 2022 in Sydney, Australia. ICCE is the premier coastal engineering conference held biennially under the auspices of the Coastal Engineering Research Council of COPRI. The goal of the ICCE is to promote academic and technical exchange on coastal related studies covering a wide range of topics including coastal waves, nearshore currents, coastal structures, sediment transport, coastal morphology, beach nourishment, natural hazards and coastal management. A list of presenters and presentation titles is below:
Nikos Kalligeris (prev postdoc): Stochastic Boundary Uncertainty in Mean Wave Overtopping Rate Estimates
Maria Winters: Observation and Numerical Modeling of a Dune Overwash and Breaching Event
Joseph Lucey: Multivariate Coastal Flood Risk Along the US Pacific
Margit Maple: Modeling Coastal Water Table Fluctuations Using PFLOTRAN
Burson Tang: Compound Urban Coastal Flood Modeling: Integrating Tide, Waves, Precipitation and Hydraulic Infrastructure
Marie-Pierre Delisle: Beach Groundwater Impacts on Wave Overtopping Flooding
