Field Work

Fieldwork is the backbone of CFL. Observation of the coastal zone, in real time, keeps our work relevant and robust. So we spend a great deal of time, watching the weather, especially storm events, monitoring wave forecasts, and tracking tides. Often, we are out in the swash zone/mud/sand placing monitors, sensors, or laying ground control points to capture those critically important events so we can analyze the findings, model the events, and learn about what is really happening out there.
